Today, the doctors and staff of B-Town Eyecare are proud to maintain the traditions of excellence in patient care, an expanded gallery of frame choices and continued community service initiated by 4 generations of Optometrists. We continue to be an independently owned, non-commercial, community-centric practice that provides stellar eyecare to all our patients.
The Continuing Evolution
After over 85 years on 153rd Street in Downtown Burien, B-Town Eyecare relocated to a more modernized office to accommodate our growth. In 2018, we moved to our new office, located on 1st Ave South in Normandy Park Town Center.
Burien Eyecare Center was founded in the late 1930’s in ‘Olde Burien’ by a local doctor whose name is unknown. Another local Optometrist, Dr. Gordon Sill moved the practice to the location in Burien on 153rd Street in 1956. Dr. Foster Kirk then assumed ownership and practiced optometry at the same office until he retired in early 1968. This was the year that Dr. Snowden Booth acquired the practice and owned it until 2013. Dr. Booth was loved and admired for his sincere approach to providing care for his patients. It was in 2013 that he passed on his legacy to Dr. Jatinder Bansal who became the proud owner of Burien Eyecare Center, which is now known as B-Town Eyecare.
Burien Eyecare Center was originally the only source of eye care in the South King County area until 1948. It has been an independent and professional optometric office, practicing traditional optometry since its humble beginnings.
In honor of Dr. Booth's credo, "Our patients come to us because they trust us to help them see and be well. Just do your absolute best to take care of them."
